Headlines are a way of catching attention and making the news seem more interesting. Tabloids have been known for their headlines, which can be quite scandalous sometimes, but they always manage to get people talking about what's happening in society. The yellow press thrives off this kind of activity because it sells papers when there’s something juicy happening that other media don't cover as much or at all.
You'll never believe what these people are posting on Twitter! Mental Headlines is a social media project that features some of the wildest, funniest news stories and headlines you will ever read. With nearly 121k followers from all over the world wide web, this page proves there's not anything too crazy or shocking to go unnoticed in our society today.
This is going to be a crazy ride! I hope you're ready because we are about to take an entertaining journey through the world of absurdity.

In today's society, it's easy to get caught up in the 24-hour news cycle. With constant updates and breaking news stories, it can be hard to distinguish what's important from simply clickbait. Often, mainstream news sources are more interested in getting you to click on their articles than delivering accurate information. As a result, it's important to be aware of the biases inherent in these sources and to take their reporting with a grain of salt.
One of the biggest problems with mainstream news is that profits drive it. Media conglomerates own most major news outlets, and these corporations are interested in maximizing their profits. Unfortunately, this often means that quality journalism takes a backseat to clickbait headlines and sensationalist stories.
News organizations have begun employing tactics designed to keep you glued to your screen to increase profits. For example, many sites now use auto-play videos that start playing as soon as you open an article. This can be extremely frustrating, especially if you're just trying to quickly skim an article. In addition, many sites now use infinite scroll, which makes it nearly impossible to stop reading once you've started. These techniques keep you engaged with the site for as long as possible, making you more likely to see advertisements.
The bottom line is that mainstream news organizations are businesses first and foremost. They're not necessarily interested in delivering accurate or unbiased reporting but in making money.
So, should you completely avoid mainstream news? Not necessarily. However, it's important to know these sources' inherent biases and take their reporting with a grain of salt. If you're looking for accurate and unbiased information, there are several other sources that you can turn to, such as independent news organizations or academic journals. Always think critically about the information you're consuming; don't blindly accept everything you read or watch without question.
It’s hard not to laugh at some of the headlines included on this Twitter page. But, taking a step back paints a concerning picture of our society and how we consume news. What do you think?
