At the Disney+ D23 Expo presentation, more Marvel news was revealed.
The trailer gives fans an early look at Secret Invasion, announced at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con as Part of Phase 5, and gives viewers a better look at Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and his return to Earth to help fight an imminent threat from the Skrull race.
In the trailer, we see some other cast members, like Cobie Smulders, Don Cheadle, Olivia Colman, Ben Mendelsohn, and even shots of Emilia Clarke. The trailer builds tension as it slowly works on the level of infiltration that the shapeshifters have on the human race.
The teaser ends with a shot of Fury and his eyepatch, leaving fans with numerous inquiries — a smart approach to keep Disney+ subscribers interested until the show's premiere date is set for Spring 2023.
