On Tuesday, the first trailer for The Redeem Team was released by Netflix. This documentary is on the 2008 U.S Olympic men's basketball squad that won gold in Beijing.
The film will showcase interviews with LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony, and even Kobe Bryant from yesteryear.
The squad was dubbed the "Redeem Team" after the 2004 team, which stunned the world by winning bronze despite having several of the greatest players, such as Tim Duncan and Allen Iverson.
James, Wade, and Anthony were drafted to the squad but had just completed their rookie years in the NBA.
In 2008, the original three members of the team rejoined international basketball competitions with more experience and some additional backup from other famous players. Newcomers to the team included rebounding champion Dwight Howard, future Hall of Fame point guard Chris Paul, and others.
