The Air Force 1-inspired Nike x UNDERCOVER collaboration, which blends in aspects of Nike ACG's multi-use Air Revaderchi from 1992 - an inspiration for the iconic Air Force 1 - was first seen back in June 2021 when it was presented as part of UNDERCOVER's SS22 collection. Official images of one of its three colorways have recently surfaced more than a year later. The angelic all-white pair is the one in question, and while its color palette is entirely classic AF-1, several significant changes can be found.
By mixing Air Revaderchi’s plastic heel counter, top eyestay, and Huarache-like neoprene collar with a traditional Air Force 1 Low upper, UNDERCOVER has created a design that is both modern and timeless. The addition of memorable branding makes this shoe truly one-of-a-kind.
The rubberized tongue badge on the UNDERCOVER x Nike Air Force 1 features an UNDERCOVER hit in place of the Air Revaderchi’s standard ACG graphic. At the same time, lace deubres boast UNDERCOVER’s familiar “Chaos” and “Balance” text. The shoe is also lined with a waterproof GORE-TEX membrane, which is acknowledged by a small black tag on the lateral forefoot.
We don't have a release date for the UNDERCOVER x Nike Air Force 1. Still, the SS22 collection from UNDERCOVER has been on shelves for months, suggesting that this unique sneaker may have been caught up in the sneaker industry's supply chain problems for the last year and a half. Keep an eye out for news about when it will be released.
